Biography
- Adriano Falcioni is an internationally italian concert organist, recognized worldwide for his technical ability and musicality. Born in Terni, Italy, after graduating from Perugia’s Conservatory with W.Van de Pol, he completed the organ studies in Freiburg Musikhochschule (Germany) with Klemens Schnorr, in London with Nicolas Kynaston and Paris with Marie Claire Alain. Mr. Falcioni participated in many master classes in Haarlem (Holland), Goteborg (Sweden) and Pistoia (Italy) organ Accademyes with great artists such as B.Winsemius, F.Chapelet, G.Leonhardt, L.F.Tagliavini, L.Lohmann, J.van Oortmerssen and J.Guillou. He was nalist and prizewinners in many international organ competitions in Europe and USA. He holds concerts every year in many important festivals and Cathedrals all over Europe (Westminster Cath in London, Leeds Cath for the new organ Celebrity concerts series, Arp Schnitger organ in Norden and Hamburg, Fulda, Freiburg, Nurnberg, Berlin, Edinburg, Brugge, Amsterdam, Tohnalle in Zurich, France, Austria, Norway, Finland, Poland) USA and South Africa. He recorded many CDs for Brilliant Classics, La Bottega Discantica and maxresearch and he played for many international radio stations and TV. He teaches organ at Conservatory of Sassari and in many masterclasses in Europe and South Africa (Unisa University of Pretoria). With a wide repertoire, ranging from the baroque to the contemporary, Adriano has a particular aection for the virtuoso music of the later nineteenth and all twentieth centuries, the works of Liszt, Reubke, Franck, Widor, Vierne, Duprè, Duruè, Messiaen and especially of Reger. He is the main organist of the Metropolitan St.Lorenz Cathedral in Perugia.
